Composer of experimental contemporary music. Born in 1981 in Braunschweig, Germany. Lives and works in Berlin. Mostly works for acoustic instrumentations.

Studies in composition and orchestration with Claus-Steffen Mahnkopf (Leipzig), Gesine Schröder (Vienna), Anders Hultqvist (Gothenburg). Important impulses from courses and encounters with Chaya Czernowin, Steven Kazuo Takasugi, Helmut Lachenmann.

Founding member and chairman of arts group “forma Leipzig” since 2010. Regular author of the Musik & Ästhetik journal. Assistant lecturer for orchestration at Leipzig Music University 2011–13.

Recipient of various grants, i.e. Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes and Else-Heiliger-Fonds. International composition prizes.

Cooperations with ensembles (i.e. Ensemble Modern), conductors (z.B. Pablo Rus Broseta), soloists (z.B. Nico Couck).
